We are blessed so that we may, in turn, be a blessing to others.
The holidays provide a unique opportunity for us to connect deeply with our community. During the months of November and December, we invite our church family to come and serve at CityLink.
Our CityLink Outreach Ministry provides many ways for others to be the hands and feet of Jesus. A wonderful way to celebrate Thanksgiving & Christmas is by blessing others who might not be able to enjoy a holiday meal. Every year, we collect food items that will be used to create meals for us to give to these families.
We also accept cash, gift cards or check donations made payable to WOL.
Additional Ways To Get Involved:
Individuals within the community will be able to sign up to receive Thanksgiving and Christmas Food Baskets.
At our Pack & Praise event, Christmas meals will be prepared for distribution.
On Distribution Day, families will be given their meals, receive prayer, and more. There are opportunities to serve during each of these periods.
Christmas Store and Toy Drive
CityLink hosts a Christmas Toy Store where pre-registered parents can select toys for their children, free of charge. Here, you will be able to connect on a personal level with parents as they shop for toys.
Donated toys may be placed at the drop off boxes during designated times. Boxes are located at all campuses and the Administration Office during the months of November and December.
There are a variety of serving opportunities available at our Toy Store. We typically need decorators, stockers, appointment schedulers, store managers, hosts/hostesses, greeters, gift wrappers (students welcome) and hospitality volunteers (to serve coffee/hot chocolate).
Magic of Lights:
There are also serving opportunities available at the Magic of Lights. Magic of Lights is a national event tour that makes its way across the country by visiting different speedways. Over the past two years, Magic of Lights has been held at the Fontana Autoclub Speedway.
In 2017, Water of life was selected by the Magic of Lights as the benefitting nonprofit organization for the event. Our church frequently looks for opportunities to reach new people in our community by partnering with our neighbors. Partnering with the Magic of Lights introduces us to thousands of new faces in our community and gives us an opportunity to welcome them to our church for the first time.
