Worship Ministry
Belief
We believe we can have relationship with God and that worship is the vital piece in the attraction to Him. James 4:8 tells us, "When we come near to God He will come near to us." As we worship we show Him our affection, gratitude and submission stating, "He is God and we are not." In return God moves back in on us extending his love and grace. It is such a privilege to be able to worship and have relationship with such an amazing God. Not only do we encourage you to worship with us on campus, in a corporate setting, but also invest attention through worship outside the church and make it a lifestyle of interaction with a Father that longs to know and build relationship with you.
Values
Attraction
We believe if prayer is communication with God then worship is the attraction to Him.
Affection
In the Greek, the word for worship is proskuneo and it is translated, coming to show affection. If you are looking where to start in worship we would recommend telling Him how you feel and showing him your affection.
Attention
Just as in any relationship our walk with God needs time and attention. God desires interaction with you more than Sunday Mornings. Worship Him freely without restriction of setting or music in a way that exposes your heart for Him.
Water of Life provides corporate worship times for Empowered Kids, Club 56, Jr. High & Sr. High (Activate), Young Adults (PURE), all weekend services in all venues and special events.
Getting Involved
Audition Process
We would love to see you involved in the worship ministry here at Water Of Life. Our audition process starts with an informational meeting that will inform you on what it means to participate on a worship team or in the choir. Although you will not audition at this meeting you are required to attend this meeting in order to audition. Watch for the announcement or feel free to email us to inquire the date of the next informational meeting.
Proskuneo Project
What Is Proskuneo Project? It’s a training tool to influence people from young to old in developing their skills for worship.
Music Lessons
We offer private one-on-one music lessons for bass, guitar, drums, and keyboard. We offer lessons for those just starting out to those who desire fine-tuning. All our lessons are geared towards helping you develop your skill for a worship setting. This program is designed for all ages 12 and up.
