Living World Ministries International (LWMI) serves the Karen refugees and the Thai people by providing ministry in refugee camps, schools, orphanages, and children's homes. LWMI places a high importance on Evangelism to the Karen tribes located in the jungles of Thailand. They reach out to the Karen people through church planting and providing much needed medical services. LWMI has played a key part in humanitarian relief to the Karen refugees and the victims of the 2004 Tsunami. Water of Life partners with LWMI to construct housing, build churches, teach the Bible, teach English, and provide medical care to the refugees and orphans.
LIVE THE CALL IN THAILAND
THAILAND TEAM 1: July 20 – July 30: (CLOSED) The focus of this trip will be determined by who participates on the team. The difficulty may range from family friendly to moderate.
CAMBODIA/THAILAND TEAM: Sept. 1 – Sept. 16: This trip allows you to experience a variety of ministry in both Cambodia and Thailand. This is a difficult level trip and is not recommended for children. Half of the trip will take place in Cambodia while the other half will be in Thailand. The team may participate in some trekking in Thailand. As a result, we require the team to prepare physically for the trip.
HOW DO I ANSWER THE CALL?
- Download and fill out the Short-Term Missions Application OR the Mexico Application depending on what Outreach Trip you would like to participate on.
- Turn in your completed application in an envelope marked ATTN: Aimee McDivett to the Water of Life church office
- Turn in your $300 deposit in an envelope marked ATTN: Aimee McDivett to the Water of Life church office (the deposit is not required for those going to Mexico).
- Checks should be addressed to Water of Life
- IF you are depositing CASH please put the cash in a separate envelope from your application and deposit the envelope into the tithe box in the lobby of the church office. Make sure to write your first and last name on the envelope as well as “GLOBAL OUTREACH DEPOSIT” and the name of the team that you are applying for.
- Apply for a passport as soon as possible on the U.S. State Department Website. For all Global Outreach Trips, including Mexico, a Passport is required. To find a U.S. Government location where you can turn in your application please visit this website Passport Location Website
- If you currently have a passport check the expiration date - passports must be valid for 6 months when one enters the country.
