Serve with Empowered Kids

 Adult Application  Junior Application

Grades 1 & 2

Children learn more about God by hearing stories from His word, engaging in take-home activities that reinforce the lesson and memorizing bible verses. Each week our crafts provide a hands-on experience that connects with the lesson.

Grades 3 & 4

Your child will see how God helps us to know Him and His good plan for us by exploring the Bible through large group lesson presentations and small group application times. Together we discover that God and His word can be trusted and that the Bible can help us make wise choices.

Summer Missions Project - "Kids" for Kenya
Every weekend, June 2nd - August 12th

Every summer, students who attend our Empowered Kids classes and WOLCS have the incredible opportunity to participate in an international missions project. This year, they will support the "Kids" for Kenya Cornerstone Goats Program.

This program was started to empower and support parents/guardians with children ages 5 and older who should be attending school but are not. In 2006, Cornerstone Faith Assembly started a kindergarten to help these young children prepare for exams which determine their eligibility to enroll in nearby public schools and receive an education.

Education is freely provided by the government but even if the children pass the exams and are able to attend school, they are required to buy their own learning materials, school uniforms, and other items. This often puts an unbearable financial burden on their families. Additionally, even for those children who are able to attend and complete grade school, their parents are not able to pay for continued education.

In the rural community where these children and their families live, goats are used as a means of income. Through this program, goats are purchased for the families to help them provide an education for their children. Approximately 30 families in the Cornerstone program have not yet received goats. Each goat plus 3 months of “feed” to get the families started costs $200.

This summer, the goal for our students is to purchase as many of those 30 goats as possible so that these families know that God sees them and cares about their children.

Cornerstone Faith Assembly
: Since 1998, this ministry has planted churches all over Kenya under the leadership of Dr. Francis Kamau. Dr Kamau is the senior pastor and presiding bishop of over 60 churches and ministries. His ministries operate a kindergarten in the Nguirubi Valley of Kenya where a church has also been established.  WOL has been partnering with CFA since 2013 & we send 1 team per year to do a Youth Camp with their youth groups & young leaders. We’re blessed by our partnership with them.

Ministering to the special needs of children with disabilities
Ages 5 - 12

The empoweredkids2 classroom experience provides a safe and loving enviornement for children with a disabillity or special need while parents attend service. The Empowered Kids ministry meets the needs of these children through a dedicated class that includes worship, bible lessons, prayer, tailored activites and trained volunteer instructors.

*Interested in serving in the Special Needs Class? We are looking for individuals with a heart to serve and love kids with various special needs. Please contact Vicky at x4242.

During each service, all elementary children come together for a time of awesome praise and worship in our Elementary Worship Center.

Check-in Kiosks: Safety for your Family

At Water of Life your child's safety is very important to us. Our Check-in Kiosk system is designed to help track how many children are on site and provide a means of contacting parents who are in service if required. You will need your ID sticker print out to pick-up your child from their classroom so please keep it close while you are in service.
