January 2011 Update

WOL Family,
I am blessed by all you did during the Christmas Season; we touched so many with so much, thank you! Your generosity and commitment to God’s work here at Water of Life Community Church has positioned us to move forward with our goal of purchasing the land on Sierra. We deposited $250,000 in escrow in December and we are now on our way towards fulfilling our commitment of $250,000 per quarter for the next two years.
I have been meeting with the owner of the land discussing ways we might move the whole project ahead faster. There are several interesting possibilities we need to pray about. One of them is lending and banking. In today’s market securing financing is a huge and might I say almost overwhelming obstacle. Money is tight and banks are still reeling from the downturn. Their requirements for lending are much, much higher than the past. Therefore, we need to continue to pray as we press ahead believing that no obstacle is too great for our God. He is faithful and is always displaying His power towards those who love Him and are called according to His will.
Romans 8:31-32,37-39 reminds us of this very thing when it declares;
"31What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? 32He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?"
"37But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. 38For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
As we move into 2011, please keep this whole project in prayer. This is more about the journey than the outcome, but if you’re anything like me you can’t wait for the outcome! As we proceed with the project you can see our newest drawings and gather other information here on our website. We are endeavoring to keep all the information relevant and timely so you can pray thoughtfully.
